Peggy Gou's Backstory
Born Kim Min-ji on July 3, 1991, in Incheon, South Korea, Gou began classical piano lessons at age eight. She moved to London at 14 to study English and later pursued fashion at the London College of Fashion. After working as the London correspondent editor for Harper's Bazaar Korea, she relocated to Berlin, where she immersed herself in the city's vibrant electronic music scene. Gou's debut track, "Hungboo," was released in 2014, and she quickly gained recognition for her energetic DJ sets and unique musical style. In 2019, she founded her own record label, Gudu Records, and released her debut album, I Hear You, in 2024, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the global dance music community .
